Retirement Administrator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and format compliance testing data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Audit annual calculations and reconcile payroll transactions with recordkeeper systems.
- Coordinate extensive reporting and responses for external retirement plan audits.
- Maintain retirement plan data quality and system configurations in HRIS platforms.
- Conduct in-person participant education sessions across various locations.
- Perform quantitative analysis and data reconciliation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and finalize contributions.
- Research and resolve participant inquiries, providing clear and timely communication.
Retirement Administrator Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or benefits administration.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll platforms, with experience in Workday or EC Payroll preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Excel.
- Knowledge of 401(k) plan administration and ERISA/IRS regulatory guidelines preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CEBS, QKA, or SHRM-CP/SCP are advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
