Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Retina Surgeon to join our expanding network in the greater Connecticut region. The candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal diseases and collaborate with eye care professionals across the practice.

The role emphasizes advanced vitreoretinal surgical skills, patient-centered care, and alignment with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an AUPO-FCC-approved Retina/Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
• Perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions utilizing advanced imaging and laser technology.
• Collaborate with optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and referring providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in call coverage as designated by the practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards and quality metrics.

Education

MD/DO from an accredited institution

AUPO-FCC-approved Retina/Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
