Job summary

Retina Consultants, Ltd. is a Chicago-area retina practice seeking a Physician Assistant to provide patient-centered clinical care in collaboration with retina specialists.

The PA will evaluate and manage retinal and ophthalmic conditions, assist with diagnosis and treatment, and provide pre- and postoperative care. You will gain hands-on experience with Valeda, a cutting-edge technology in retinal treatment, while delivering advanced care in a patient-driven specialty practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Illinois Physician Assistant license.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Current Qualified Health Professional (QHP) status and eligibility for payer programs.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital, facility, payer and RCL credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient-centered clinical care in collaboration with retina specialists.
• Evaluate and manage retinal/ophthalmic patients and assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform or assist with ophthalmic procedures and support Valeda treatments.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care and coordinate with surgical scheduling and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation for coding and billing.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients; educate patients about diagnoses and treatment plans.
