Eye Clinic of Wisconsin seeks a Scribe to assist physicians by recording examination findings in the electronic patient record. The role includes completing encounter forms, prescription forms, and recall information.

The Scribe will work across eight locations, travel to satellites is required; seating/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and adherence to HIPAA are essential to daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; certification as a medical assistant is desired.
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience may substitute certification.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to use medical equipment safely and effectively.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with patients.
• Document physician findings in the patient record.
• Record billing information for the exam for proper processing.
• Escort patients to reception and assist with walking as needed.
• Fill out and complete exam information, prescriptions, consent forms, and related documents.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Clinic staff.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary items.
• Maintain a peer review audit process if there is no Lead Scribe.
• Perform intraocular pressures.
• Stay current on documentation and coding through continuing education.
• All other duties as assigned.
