Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Maryland is hiring for an entry-level hospitality role. You will provide warm, attentive service in a team environment and handle retail and dining duties, including drink prep, to-go packaging, and POS transactions.

The role supports Convive Brands, with opportunities to grow across a family of restaurant concepts. Prior POS experience is a plus, and a flexible schedule is preferred to cover shifts and peak hours.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, Toast a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note any preferences.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Package to-go food and pastry.
• Handle sales transactions per cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry display and store items knowledge.
• Resolve guest issues with empathy and escalate as needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist.
• Keep restaurant areas clean and organized per checklists.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette; take orders over the phone.
