Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Travel daily through territory to call on regular and prospective customers and solicit orders
• Present items for distribution and maintain in-store displays and shelf conditions
• Quote prices and credit terms, estimate delivery dates, and coordinate with management to resolve issues
• Maintain communication with drivers, managers, and sales leadership
• Prepare distribution tracking reports and monitor progress toward sales goals
• Attend trade shows and participate in supplier work-withs
• Adhere to all local/state laws and company policies

Territory: Tucker and Surrounding areas

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learns and executes the seven basics of Empire: distributions, position, display, pricing, point-of-sale, cold box, and rotation in each account.
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
• Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
• Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
• Position requires building of displays as well as maintenance of the displays.
• Coldbox and shelf maintenance is also a requirement of the position.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
• Identifies and respond to customers' needs.
• Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers and the general manager.
• Prepares and/or maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas and dollar objectives and other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Executes sales plans and maintain accounts according to company standards.
• Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
• Participates in supplier work-withs.
• Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
• Delivers emergency orders when needed.
• Attends trade show.
• Conducts business according to local and state laws.
• Other duties as assigned by District Manager.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must have the ability to sustain a current and valid Alcohol Sales Permit from the Georgia Department of Revenue.
• Must maintain valid drivers’ license.
