Empire Distributors Inc., a leading beverage distributor, is hiring a Retail Wine Sales Representative - Total Wine, Wilmington, NC. Sales Territory: Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry, and Surf City.

Summary

This is a training position supporting the Sales Manager and team in duties such as selling and merchandising wine, malt beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages to retail stores. You will cover assigned retail sales routes/accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain current accounts with orders and provide excellent customer service, including store resets.
• Identify prospective customers and generate sales leads.
• Travel within assigned territory to solicit orders, merchandise, and handle damages or product issues.
• Quote prices and payment terms.
• Manage local chain responsibilities, including cluster sales and pricing submissions.
• Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
• Resolve customer problems in coordination with the District Manager.
• Respond to customer needs and maintain communication with team members.
• Execute sales plans, track progress, and report weekly.
• Participate in supplier collaborations and trade shows.
• Assist with store resets and distribute point-of-sale materials.
• Build and maintain attractive shelf displays.
• Conduct business in compliance with laws.
• Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must hold a valid North Carolina ABC Alcohol Sales Permit, valid driver’s license, and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of computers and order processing systems.
