Job summary

Baton Rouge General seeks a Nutritional Care Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Nutritional Care department, ensuring exceptional service and staff engagement.

You will supervise staff, coordinate workflow, and oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations, while ensuring quality, safety, and cost-conscious practices across the unit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Nutritional Care operations and staff activities.
• Coordinate staffing assignments based on workload and operational needs.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
• Monitor departmental productivity, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure patient and operational needs are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and resources.
• Review reports and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Promote effective communication among staff and leadership.
• Support budget goals through efficient resource utilization and cost-conscious practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
