Job summary

Telluride Ski & Golf is seeking a warehouse associate in Montrose, CO to pick, pack, and deliver goods to retail and rental locations. You will ensure packing slip accuracy, report damages, and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain inventory flow.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in similar roles, proficiency with Excel/Outlook, and the mobility to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment. Local travel to Telluride may be required.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similarly challenging role with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficient with accounting software, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read invoices, packing slips and safety rules; basic math and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, pick, pack and deliver goods to retail/rental locations.
  • Account for all items on packing slips and ensure correct pairing.
  • Report damaged products to warehouse management and communicate shortages.
  • Operate hand truck/pallet jack and drive company vehicle as needed.
  • Lift and deliver packages up to 50 lbs at elevations up to 10,000 ft.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and comply with company policies.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following

  • Completing physical and active tasks in an efficient manner to pick, pack and deliver goods to retail / rental locations
  • Ensure all items from the packing slip are accounted for.
  • Check that the right packing slip is paired with the appropriate package
  • Report any damaged product to the Retail Warehouse Inventory Manager
  • Communicate inventory shortages to warehouse management
  • Willingness to work with warehouse functions and tools
  • Climb warehouse ladders following safety precautions to reach items on high shelves
  • Work with other departments to manage inventory
  • Tag product with appropriate description and pricing
  • Receive, organize and deliver retail/rental goods
  • Transfer and track inventory and merchandise as it becomes available
  • Prepare the shipping of product as needed
  • Load shipment onto truck for delivery
  • Know and enforce safety initiatives consistent with company guidelines.
  • Supports Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
  • Adheres to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
  • Promote, support and understand all activities and events occurring on or off mountain
  • Perform related tasks or special projects as assigned
  • Ability to drive a Ford Transit F350 all-wheel-drive vehicle to deliver goods from the Montrose warehouse to Telluride retail and rental locations, ensuring reliable transportation in all seasonal weather conditions, as needed
  • Ability to lift, carry, and deliver packages up to 50 lbs in altitudes as high as 10,000 ft
  • Ability to lift, carry, and deliver packages up to 50 lbs in potentially inclement weather
  • Drive a company vehicle for up to 5 hours a day, potentially in inclement weather conditions

Education and/or Experience

1-2 years of experience in similarly challenging role with demonstrated success in an environment of increasing responsibility.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with a variety of different Accounting programs, Internet explorer, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret bar graphs.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, packing slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Other Qualifications
  • Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, holidays and overtime as job requires
  • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to operate hand truck and pallet jack.

Expected Pay Range $18.50 to $22. Individual compensation decisions are based on experience and variety of factors.
