Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina (Palmetto Goodwill) is seeking a dedicated associate to support daily store operations in Charleston. You will deliver an excellent customer experience, assist donors, and process donations and sales with accurate recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Delivers ACE (Amazing Customer Experience) to all internal and external customers.
• Acts as an ambassador of Palmetto Goodwill and our I-CARE (Integrity, Collaboration, Attitude, Respect, Excellence) values.
• Embraces learning and growth, and participates in training and development.
• Celebrates and supports diversity, inclusivity, and belonging; ensures staff feel respected and included.
• Receives donations from donors using GRATIS (Greet, Receipt, Assist, Thank, Invite back, Sort).
• Sorts, prices, and stocks hardline donations for sale according to established expectations.
• Sorts, tags, and stocks softline donations for sale according to established expectations.
• Uses point-of-sale system to complete sales and asks customers to round up change for mission impact.
• Records donations, production of merchandise, and specified tasks accurately.
• Meets production goals corresponding to role in retail location.
• Keeps a clean work environment.
• Demonstrates proficiency in cashier, softline production, or donor/hardline roles through evaluation.
• Reports security and theft concerns to store management or Asset Protection.
• Maintains safety standards and complies with agency policies and regulatory standards.
