Job summary

Rosemont Market & Bakery is seeking a friendly Retail Team Member to join our Maine stores. You’ll help customers find local, organic, and specialty foods and provide genuine recommendations, not scripts.

This in-person role involves ringing up purchases, stocking shelves, and supporting a tight-knit team. No two shifts are exactly alike, and you’ll learn from a group that values community, quality, and responsible sourcing.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service instincts.
• Ability to work as part of a team and stay positive.
• Curiosity about local, organic, or specialty foods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find what they need.

What You'll Do

Depending on the shift and department (grocery, deli, produce, bakery, or prepared foods), you'll:

• Greet customers and help them find what they need - with real recommendations, not a script

• Ring up purchases and handle payment accurately and efficiently

• Stock shelves, displays, and cases so our food always looks its best

• Prepare and serve items in the deli - slicing, weighing, and wrapping to order

• Keep things clean, organized, and safe for customers and teammates alike

• Jump in wherever the team needs a hand - no two shifts are exactly alike

The Details

This is an in-person role at one of our Rosemont Market retail locations. Shifts involve being on your feet, lifting up to 50 lbs., and staying active throughout - but you'll be doing it surrounded by great food and good people.
