Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Team Member to serve customers, stock merchandise, operate the cash register, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. You will assist in merchandising, rotate products, and support daily store operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include providing friendly service, handling transactions, and ensuring shelves are well organized. This role requires physical movement and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Possess product knowledge and use selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment.
• Assist in merchandising the store to be appealing and drive sales.
• Rotate product to create eye-catching displays.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
• Condense and reset displayed merchandise to avoid clutter.
• Operate cash register(s) and scanners to total purchases and collect payment.
• Assist customers in self-checkout at multiple registers.
• Follow merchandise processes and stock/replenish shelves.
• Help set up sidewalk displays and maintain store cleanliness.
