Job summary

The Team Member at Tractor Supply Company will interact with customers and fellow team members, support selling initiatives and perform assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending product solutions, processing transactions, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment with attention to bird care and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required; retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; Basic computer skills; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts and varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Operate cash register/computer and follow cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process.
• Complete Plan-o-gram procedures (merchandising, sets, and resets) and assemble merchandise.
• Perform janitorial duties, execute price changes/markdowns, and operate equipment (forklift, baler) as required.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and ensure a Legendary shopping experience; maintain safety around birds/poultry.
