Job summary

Blue Eagle Credit Union in Roanoke, VA seeks a Retail Team Leader to engage branch team members, members, and external partners to drive lending and membership growth while delivering 5-Star service.

Lead, coach and mentor lenders, coordinate with partners, and uphold the credit union's needs-based sales model, aiming to be the premier lender in the market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of successful experience in financial environment and sales goals.
• Consumer lending experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent leadership experience in finance.

Responsibilities

• Engage branch team members and external partners to drive lending and membership growth.
• Coach, train, mentor and evaluate lenders to support production and career development.
• Deliver 5-Star service and support the credit union's customer-centric sales approach.

The ultimate priority of the Retail Team Leader is to engage branch team members, membership and external business partners to drive lending and membership growth while delivering 5-Star service. Success is dependent on demonstrating a \"go get the business\" mindset while embracing the Credit Union's \"needs based\" sales approach that delivers tailored solutions and are custom built for each member. They support Blue Eagle Credit Union's vision of being the premier lender in our markets while happening to be a Credit Union. They are also responsible for coaching, training, mentoring, evaluating, and counseling the team of lenders under their leadership to support their individual production success and their career development. Additional ancillary responsibilities and goals exist as well.

Requirements

Do you have at least 3 years of successful experience in the following areas?

• Experience working in a financial environment
• Sales experience with individual sales goals
• Consumer lending experience

Awesome, do you also meet these qualifications?

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant leadership experience in a financial industry that is equivalent to the degree
• Ability to obtain Level 3 Lending Authority within 18 months starting position
• Ability to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Aptitude for leadership and excellent communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Google Applications; Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar
