Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with staffing and development. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and ensure strong customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 2–4 years in retail leadership, 3–5 years total retail experience, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals and customer experience standards are met.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring, recruitment, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards.
