Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Madison, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, enhance customer service, and support team development. You will assist with merchandise organization, opening/closing tasks, and payroll-related duties while ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role requires high energy, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach. This is a part-time position based in-store with opportunities to grow within the retail team.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain areas of the store and ensure company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for customers and staff.
