Job summary

The Fruitful Yield INC in Naperville, IL is seeking a Retail Associate who provides excellent customer service and supports store operations under the direction of the Store Manager.

You will greet customers, help them locate merchandise, cashier with the POS system, stock shelves, manage inventory records, and keep the store clean and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Manager on Duty when assigned and assists with other leadership duties.
• Performs supervisory duties in manager's absence; fosters a positive work environment and adheres to company policies.
• Greets customers on the sales floor; determines brand, type, and quality of merchandise and assists locating merchandise.
• Displays merchandise, suggests selections to meet customer needs, and prints price labels.
• Cashier using POS system, processes payments or credits, bags merchandise, and notes out-of-stock items or special needs.
• Communicates out-of-stock items or special orders with management.
• Completes the audit envelope (cash spreadsheet and deposits) and handles money securely.
• Completes Daily Sales spreadsheet.
• Approves returns and exchanges at the register within approval levels.
• Stocks shelves, rotates stock, and checks for expired product; maintains backroom organization.
• Processes and prints price labels for store merchandise.
• Maintains inventory of stock; conducts cycle counts and physical inventory; compiles reports on adjustments and spoilage.
• Assists with miscellaneous POS and Catapult tasks.
• Keeps store clean and sanitary; adheres to GMP requirements.

SUMMARY

Sells health/natural food and products to individuals in retail store and provides excellent customer service. Assists with coordination of store activities under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when assigned and assists with other leadership duties.
• Performs supervisory duties as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, during periods when management is absent from the store. Fosters a positive work environment and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Greets customers on sales floor; determines brand, type, and quality of merchandise desired; and assists customers to locate merchandise.
• Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer’s needs, and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility. Prints price labels.
• Acts as cashier using POS system, receives payment or obtains credit authorization and bags merchandise for customer. Lists out-of-stock items or special customer needs.
• Communicates Out of Stock items or Special Orders with management.
• Completes the audit envelope (including the cash spreadsheet and deposit). Handles all money and bank deposits in a safe and responsible manner.
• Completes Daily Sales spreadsheet.
• Approves returns and exchanges at the register within their approval level.
• Places new merchandise on display; stocks shelves neatly according to product type, brand and size. Rotates stock and checks for expired product.
• Processes and prints price labels for store merchandise.
• Prepares and maintains inventory of stock. Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory from start to finish, including counting product and trouble shooting. Compiles reports on adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusals of shipment.
• Assists with miscellaneous POS and Catapult tasks.
• Helps maintain backroom organization and safety standards.
• Assists in keeping the store’s cleanliness and sanitation (i.e. sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms) at or above standards set by the company.
• Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
