Job summary

Men's Wearhouse is seeking a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations to join our on-site tailoring team. You will perform high-quality alterations, measurements, fittings, and garment repairs while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure perfect fits, train sales staff on tailoring fundamentals, and adapt to changing workload priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong sewing and alteration abilities.
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements.
• Comfort with fittings and garment adjustments.
• Able to work at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard alterations (e.g., hems, waist/seat, sleeves, seams) to high quality.
• Take measurements, fittings, and ensure accurate tailoring.
• Repair garments and ensure clean, secure finishes and press for a crisp look.
• Keep workspace organized and stocked; tag and prepare completed work for pickup.
• Assist with inventory management and replenishment of tailoring supplies as needed.
• Interact with customers to provide tailoring guidance and recommendations.
• Share tailoring knowledge with team and support sales staff’s product knowledge.
