Job summary

Wegmans Depew location seeks an entry-level hourly leader in the bakery to guide a team in a dynamic retail setting. You will learn Wegmans standards, supervise daily bakery tasks, and ensure high-quality product availability for customers.

You will educate staff and customers on offerings, lead by example, and support a busy bakery with strong teamwork and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience or a college degree.
• Computer skills are required.
• Experience leading a team is preferred.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new situations and subjects.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily tasks of your team to ensure bakery products are available and properly displayed.
• Educate team members and customers about product offerings with passion and knowledge.
• Proactively assist customers, answer questions, locate items, and suggest options to complete meals.
• Coordinate merchandising standards to highlight quality, freshness and variety of bakery products.

What You'll Do

• Focus on company standards regarding merchandising, highlighting quality, freshness and uniqueness of products

• Coordinate the daily tasks of your team to ensure products are available timely for customers

• Use passion and knowledge to educate team members and customers on product offerings

• Proactively approach customers, answer questions, help locate items and offer suggestions to complete their meals

Requirements

• 1 or more years of work experience or a college degree
