Job summary

Dollar Tree in Pocahontas, AR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist in day-to-day activities, merchandise flow, cashiering, and payroll-related tasks while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent mobility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain neat, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
