Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc.'s Men's Wearhouse division is hiring a Retail Store Tailor—Alterations. You will assist customers, explain alteration options, and ensure final garments are attractive, well-fitted, and comfortable.

The role emphasizes tailoring expertise, marking, altering, pressing garments, and collaborating with management. Formal tailoring training or experience is highly valued, and you will help keep the shop clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Formal training for tailoring preferred.
• Experience as a tailor for menswear highly preferred.
• Good technical skill.
• Sound knowledge of various types of sewing equipment.
• Proficiency in all basic and advanced alterations of men's tailored clothing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the selling process by greeting and responding to special requests.
• Mark, alter, and press garments with expertise to ensure proper fit.
• Ensure the proper fit of garments.
• Answer customer questions.
• Mark garments for tailoring and press them.
• Maintain open dialogue with management.
• Help other team members and keep the tailor shop clean and organized.
• Assist customers with proper sizing and wardrobe suggestions.
