Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Memphis, TN is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, drive customer service excellence, and promote merchandise across departments.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in product areas, handle supervisory tasks when the Store Manager is away, assist with recruiting and training, and manage duties such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling, at an hourly wage of $14.25.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets.
• Develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate store personnel.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain inventory movement updates and customer trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per policy manuals.
• Promote and sell Hibbett services and merchandise.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as directed.
