Job summary

Circle K seeks a Store Manager in Wisconsin to lead daily retail operations, supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain store standards.

You will recruit, train, and appraise employees, manage inventory and cash, uphold safety procedures, and build community relationships. The role requires on-site work with weekday and weekend availability, aligning with Circle K policies and brand image.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in CSR and ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in CSR and ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to use computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site, including reports, inventory control, cash control, notices, etc.
• A valid driver’s license and transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked, organized and well kept per Company standards.
• Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisor.
• Schedule employees to maximize customer service and maintain site image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling and separation of employees.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and promote excellent service.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
• Promote a safe, positive public image within the community.
• Prepare timely performance appraisals in writing for all employees with constructive feedback.
• Train employees to meet customer service, site image and marketing standards.
• Train employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
• Establish effective communications with all staff and hold regular meetings.
• Organize action plans to reach site objectives and maintain files and manuals.
• Manage reports, stock, pricing and posted employment posters.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses and act to maximize profits.
• Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage margins.
• Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
• Conduct additional financial analyses to maximize sales and profits.
• Work mainly indoors but may tend exterior duties like parking lots and pumps.
