Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company in Portland, OR is seeking a Full-Time Retail Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive customer service excellence and manage a small team. You will train staff, optimize sales processes and ensure a welcoming shopping experience in a busy retail environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of retail management, strong communication skills and comfort with NAVISION and new tech.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail sales management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, dependable and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service while helping customers select safety footwear.
• Learn product lines and explain features, fit and benefits to customers.
• Learn and use Navision to help customers optimize fit.
• Process sales transactions, including cash and credit card payments using POS systems.
• Maintain clean, organized showroom displays and support visual merchandising.
• Merchandise incoming inventory and assist with inventory management.
• Support local store growth through outreach, marketing and customer engagement.
• Assist with store operations and administrative support tasks as needed.
• Help create a positive, team-oriented store environment.
• Cross-train in other administrative duties.
