Job summary

Hibbett at Mount Olive, NC is seeking a Manager in Training to support daily store operations and learn all product areas. You will assist the Store Manager with merchandising, inventory, and customer service to achieve store goals.

This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Store Manager and requires strong communication and leadership during shifts. Prior retail experience is preferred and a proactive, detail-oriented approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail
• Team player who delivers outstanding customer service

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and daily operations
• Contribute to selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling
• Serve as acting supervisor in Store Manager's absence
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to support profitability
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards
• Ensure inventory movement and customer trends are communicated
• Maintain high-quality customer service per policies and manuals
• Support promotions and product services offered by Hibbett I City Gear
• Uphold all company policies and procedures in daily operations
• Protect assets and safeguard financial information by internal controls
