Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission, seeks a Retail Store Manager I in Hampton-N, NH to oversee daily store operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional customer service. This full-time position requires strong leadership and compliance with state policies.

Responsibilities include managing openings/closings, merchandising, deposits, inventory, and staff training; occasional travel to other stores may be required. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of education and/or experience may substitute for another year of required experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal customer base.
• Supervise store personnel up to Retail Salesperson III level.
• Open and close the store and manage merchandising displays and equipment.
• Make deposits and take inventory.
• Provide routine training and guidance on state liquor store operations.
• Maintain stock and anticipate sales to adjust inventory.
• Calculate sales transactions and prepare bank deposits.
• Review computer printouts and advise the Store Manager.
• Supervise employees and cover for higher-level store managers when needed.
• Occasionally work at other stores and travel to locations.
• A criminal background and reference check will be conducted.
