Job Summary

This position contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients. The Salon Director manages the overall operation of the salon, supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction, monitoring staff performance, handling maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Developing and coaching employees to provide excellent client experiences.
  • Addressing client concerns promptly.
  • Setting a positive example and maintaining composure during busy times.
  • Ensuring a client-first attitude and holding team accountable for service quality.
  • Driving company metrics through action plans and motivating staff.
  • Promoting the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City.
  • Delegating responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the salon.
  • Managing staffing levels and employee development.
  • Adhering to wage and hour laws.
  • Using operational tools to achieve excellence.
  • Analyzing financial reports to improve performance.
  • Conducting performance assessments and setting goals.
  • Managing ongoing sales.
  • Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying shifts.
Experience
  • College education preferred, but not required.
  • Management and/or sales experience required.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Team building and delegation skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions.
