Store Manager
Buff City Soap is on a mission to create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant-based goodies to make your skin happy. Our products are fresh, made daily in each soap makery with ingredients you can pronounce. We are currently accepting applications for a Store Manager.
The Store Manager contributes to Buff City Soap’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Buff City Experience for our clients. The role involves managing the overall operation of the makery, supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction, monitoring staff performance, handling maintenance issues, maintaining cleanliness, and managing safety and security.
The Store Manager is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Buff City Soap principles to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Developing and coaching employees to provide excellent client experiences.
- Addressing client concerns promptly.
- Setting a positive example and maintaining composure during busy periods.
- Ensuring a client-first attitude among team members.
- Driving company metrics through action plans and motivating the team.
- Promoting the culture, values, and mission of Buff City Soap with integrity and honesty.
- Delegating responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Managing stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
- Maintaining store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Overseeing production, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the makery.
- Managing staffing levels for employee development and operational needs.
- Ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Using operational tools for planning and achieving excellence.
- Analyzing financial reports to address performance trends.
- Conducting performance assessments and setting sales goals.
- Managing ongoing sales activities.
- Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying shifts based on business needs.
- Having reliable transportation for banking and other duties.
Experience:
- College education preferred but not required.
- Management and/or sales experience required.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service and operational knowledge.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills with coaching and mentoring ability.
- Team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Physical Requirements:
