You will be responsible for motivating and mentoring 20+ employees. You will inspire a team committed to creating a welcoming environment and developing the Mint Culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of 25-50 people.
- Ensure compliance with all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, and enforce compliance efforts.
- Manage daily sales reporting.
- Maintain quality customer service by establishing standards, handling inquiries, and resolving complaints.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, interview, and hire staff to ensure excellent customer service and patient care.
- Oversee the dispensary environment and monitor key business indicators to identify issues and opportunities for improvement, providing coaching and taking action to meet operational goals.
- Coordinate inventory audits, assess productivity, and evaluate new merchandise in partnership with other departments.
- Establish and manage staff schedules, including time-off planning.
- Promote teamwork by maintaining a positive attitude and inspiring others.
- Handle challenging situations to keep the dispensary operating effectively.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
- Lead with integrity, honesty, and knowledge, promoting the culture and values of Mint Cannabis.
- Partner with the Marketing Department to analyze metrics and identify future opportunities.
- Authorize and witness employee discipline and terminations.
- Supervise daily store operations including product orders, cash handling, financial reporting, customer communication, patient education, and team management.
- Assist with employee performance reviews.
- Coordinate operations, merchandising, staffing, training, rewards, discipline, and evaluations.
- Provide relief in any staff position as needed.
- Secure the facility after hours, maintaining alarm and safe codes.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
- Train, develop, coach, and encourage staff members.
- Lead daily and monthly team meetings.
- Utilize management tools and analyze financial reports to improve store performance.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for cleaning, maintenance, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence positively at all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process optimization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with flexibility and adaptability.
- Physical ability to lift at least 10 pounds as required.
- Ability to sit, squat, stand, kneel, bend, or walk for extended periods and work at a computer.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Strong prioritization, urgency management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in customer interaction, addressing issues, and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to work 7 days a week, including holidays, with schedule flexibility.
- Leadership or management experience in retail, hospitality, or sales is required; cannabis industry experience is strongly preferred.
