Job summary

Hibbett in Pontotoc, Mississippi is seeking a Manager in Training to support store operations under the Store Manager. You will learn all product areas, promote promotions, and deliver outstanding customer service while assisting with daily admin tasks and store goals.

As the Manager in Training, you will step into supervisory duties in the Store Manager's absence and help manage inventory, staff, and customer experience to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Plan and execute action items for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting Store Manager in their absence.
• Guide employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain exceptional customer service as outlined in the manuals.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
