Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Franklin, NH is seeking a management trainee to develop the skills needed to lead a full-service store. The program prepares future store managers through hands-on experience across all areas of operation.

As a trainee, you will support daily store activities, work to meet financial and sales goals, build strong relationships with associates and customers, and uphold Hannaford's standards for merchandising and food safety.

Qualifications

• College degree or Retail Management work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability and availability to work a schedule that meets business needs.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or equivalent as a Certified Food Safety Manager or obtain accreditation within the first 90 days.
• Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a role requiring accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operation of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support store operations to meet financial and sales goals.
• Build associate and customer relations and promote Hannaford strategy.
• Maintain solid communications with the management team, all associates in the store and throughout the organization.
