Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. Borger, Texas is seeking a Store Manager to lead store sales and operations. You will supervise the store’s sales team, drive performance, ensure policy compliance, and uphold brand standards while delivering excellent customer service daily.

You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager and Store Support Center to implement initiatives, manage payroll, and optimize inventory and profitability. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• Experience in managing and cultivating a sales team.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience. 3+ years of management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
• Ability to problem solve and juggle multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and sales goals, consistently focused on company growth.
• Manage and control the assets of the company by managing their designated store.
• Direct and oversee sales efforts in the store. Train and mentor store associates in sales strategies and skills.
• Monitor store performance including sales statistics, inventory, and expenses to drive profit.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager to establish policies, goals, and procedures.
• Direct staff to ensure all department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Mentor and cultivate a team of Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
• Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate personnel; manage payroll and scheduling to meet labor goals.
• Maintain store security and partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and shrink.
• Communicate inventory movement and keep District Sales Manager informed; drive inventory goals.
• Stay informed on marketing plans and customer trends.
• Keep abreast of competition and community events to leverage opportunities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the manual.
