Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations at our Greenville-area store. You will oversee staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure a consistently efficient shopping experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating hiring, enforcing company policies, managing compliance and safety, and driving sales while controlling costs. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills and a commitment to excellent store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for travel or store duties.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees to keep store properly staffed.
• Provides proper training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels when needed.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures store opens/closes as scheduled and staff coverage is adequate.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Oversees stock replenishment, ordering planning, and inventory management issues.
• Maintains merchandise presentation and pricing accuracy; uses fixtures properly.
