Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and drive performance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will supervise associates, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to company standards while maintaining excellent customer service and store presentation.

The role requires 2+ years in store leadership, strong communication, and ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, give direction and follow through.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all store operations and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Assist in analyzing store reports to evaluate expenses and performance.
• Schedule Associates to meet business needs and budget.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Recruit, train and develop non-exempt Associates.
• Support loss prevention and inventory processes.
