You will recruit and coach clerks, oversee scheduling, manage inventory, enforce policies, and maintain store standards. The role requires 2–3 years retail experience, training readiness, strong computer skills, and the ability to work a 24/7 operation with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in retail or completed Store Assistant Manager training.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and mobility requirements.
• Able to manage all store activities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Willing to support a 24/7 operation and ensure proper staffing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, selecting, and managing a team of clerks.
• Coach clerks on POS procedures, customer service, and add-on selling.
• Enforce all company policies and applicable laws/regulations.
• Supervise employees in the Store Manager’s absence in a fair, consistent manner.
• Help manage labor and scheduling to minimize costs while keeping adequate staffing.
• Assist in achieving sales goals and maximizing store profitability.
• Identify shrink causes and work to control losses.
• Prepare bank deposits and submit accounting records in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and maintaining inventory/stock levels.
• Verify deliveries and ensure accurate pricing and in-code merchandise.
• Maintain store image, cleanliness, stock readiness, and merchandising standards.
• Foster teamwork among clerks, supervisors, and vendors.
• Communicate significant events to staff and management.
• Provide performance feedback and conduct reviews for direct reports.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
