Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in retail or completion of Store Assistant Manager training program.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Standing/walking/climbing/bending and ability to lift at least 25 lbs as needed.
• Ability to manage store activities in absence of Store Manager.
• Availability to support a 24/7 operation and ensure proper staffing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in recruiting and managing a team of sales clerks.
• Coach and train clerks on POS procedures, customer service, and upselling.
• Enforce company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Supervise employees in Store Manager’s absence.
• Assist in labor scheduling to optimize staffing and control labor costs.
• Help achieve sales goals and maximize profitability.
• Help prevent shrink and manage losses.
• Prepare bank deposits and submit accounting records when Store Manager is absent.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and maintain inventory levels.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and product in-code status.
