Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations, staffing, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will recruit, train, and evaluate employees, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, and drive in-store performance through effective inventory and cash control.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, maintaining safety standards, and delivering strong financial results.

Qualifikationen

• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Aufgaben

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is adequately staffed and opens/closes each day with required frequency.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses and opportunities for improvement.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly.
• Facilitates staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes and signage standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and facility controls.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control and cash handling procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership and maintains a safe, clean store environment.
