Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a customer-first store environment in a fast-paced retail setting. You will support the Store Manager with staffing, training, and daily operations to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will supervise employees, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies. The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and leadership skills to drive store performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the store entrance and at checkout.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, displays, and restocking.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages and markdowns.
• Support planograms and ensure compliant merchandising presentation.
• Ensure cashier accountability and deposit cash securely.
• Assist in store management in Store Manager’s absence.
