Family Dollar in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and support the Store Manager in achieving goals.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail management. You will train and supervise store associates, maintain cleanliness, organize stock, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
