Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Statesboro, GA, to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist the Store Manager with supervision, merchandising, and deposits, while performing stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and protect assets.

You will support scheduling, training, and safety compliance, ensure proper planograms, and maintain strong cashier accountability.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise through stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and store security procedures.
• Help manage store in the Store Manager's absence.
