Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, elevate customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You’ll assist with opening and closing, merchandising, and ensuring store standards are met.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a preference for retail or grocery experience. You will train staff, enforce policies, and contribute to a safe, welcoming shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to support sales.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll-related records, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
