Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations with a customer-first approach. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandising, deposits, and paperwork to maximize profitability and protect assets.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, scheduling, training, and enforcing policy compliance while maintaining planograms and accurate inventory. This role involves cashiering duties and travel to bank deposits when needed.

• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with planograms and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity: cashier accountability, cash control, deposits.
• Support Store Manager in their absence.
