Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central NC is seeking team members for our donation centers and retail stores in North Carolina. You will greet donors, unload vehicles, sort and price donations, and help keep the shopping area organized. Training is on-the-job and no experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; on-the-job training.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees, and read/write legibly.
• Able to work without close supervision; dependability and honesty required.
• Able to work 100% of scheduled hours onsite.
• Must follow GICNC’s dress code.
• Tenth-grade education required; HS diploma preferred.
• Must follow instructions and discriminate between items.
• Adhere to safety policies; lifting 25–50 lbs.

• Medium lifting (25 – 50lbs) is required. Stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, standing, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, carrying, walking, lifting, occasional climbing, good eyesight, and color vision.

Pay Range & Schedule:

This position is hourly, non-exempt and starts at $13 / hour plus quarterly performance-based bonuses.

• Must be able to adhere to our attendance policy. We’re a retail environment with retail hours, which can include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Most of our stores are open Monday - Saturday 10AM - 8PM & Sunday 1PM - 6PM, so no late night shifts!
• Part-time positions are up to 28 hours per week (can include weekends and evenings).
• Full-time positions are based on a 40-hour work week and open availability is required (includes weekends and evenings).
