Job summary

The Spice House in Chicago, IL is seeking a Sales Team Leader to inspire and guide our Spice Merchants toward achieving sales targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This role requires leadership between 2-3 years in retail, strong sales skills, and a passion for flavor. The position is full-time, on-site at our Chicago store with an hourly pay rate and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years in retail with supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve KPI targets.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales Performance: take ownership of personal and store sales results by engaging in selling behaviors and leveraging customer insights.
• Lead and Mentor the Team: inspire, coach, and develop the Spice Merchant team to achieve and exceed KPI goals.
• Customer Engagement & Problem Solving: deliver exceptional customer experiences with tailored product recommendations.
• Positive Leadership & Culture: demonstrate energy and a solutions-oriented mindset that motivates the team.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: use sales data and trends to identify opportunities and drive results.
• Operational Excellence: support daily store operations including opening/closing, inventory management, and POS execution.
• Collaboration & Store Presentation: maintain a visually appealing, well-stocked sales floor and uphold standards.
