Soccer Post is hiring a Retail Specialist in Modesto, CA. The role focuses on delivering an authentic store experience, helping customers find gear, and supporting daily operations.

Weekend availability is required. Soccer background is a big plus, along with bilingual Spanish/English abilities. We offer an in-person work environment with opportunities to grow within a fast-paced, soccer-focused retail team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Retail experience valued; customer service mindset is required.
• Soccer background (player, coach, or fan) is a big plus.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service that reflects Soccer Post’s core values.
• Greet and engage every customer who walks through our doors.
• Understand customer needs and recommend the best products for their game.
• Showcase and explain merchandise with confidence.
• Assist with purchases, returns, exchanges, and special orders.
• Maintain clean and organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas.
• Help receive shipments, stock inventory, and track low-inventory items.
• Support team inventory and other store operations.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the store running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Retail Specialist you’ll bring the authentic Soccer Post experience to life by helping customers find gear they love and the products they need. You’ll be a key part of creating an inviting store atmosphere and supporting the daily operations that keep our stores running strong.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Retail experience (preferred), customer service mindset (required!)
• Soccer background — player, coach, or fan (a big plus!)
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Strong sales instincts and the ability to anticipate customer needs
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and POS systems
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive team-player attitude
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs when needed
