Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. in Rockford, IL seeks an experienced Retail Shift Lead to be a frontline leader for customers and team members.

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting daily operations and guiding the team to deliver outstanding service. The role requires 1+ year of retail management experience, proficiency with POS systems, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in retail management and/or team leadership.
• 1+ year of proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash register operations.
• 1+ year of training and/or developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility, along with adherence to proper safety procedures.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and optimal customer service.
• Assist the management team with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and manage cash register operations.
• Supervise and train team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility, along with adherence to proper safety procedures.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and optimal customer service.
• Assist the management team with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and manage cash register operations.

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in retail management and/or team leadership

• Ability to work various shifts.
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.

• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more.
