Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Lawrence, KS, is hiring a Retail Shift Lead to help run daily store operations, train staff, and deliver excellent customer service. You’ll oversee inventory, cash handling, and safety procedures while creating a clean, welcoming environment for customers and teammates.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on supervision, and strong communication. Experience with POS systems and MS Office is preferred, and candidates should be able to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in retail management or team leadership.
• 1+ year of proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash register operations.

Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility, along with adherence to proper safety procedures.

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and optimal customer service.

• Assist the management team with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and manage cash register operations.

• Supervise and train team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in retail management and/or team leadership

• 1+ year of proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash register operations

• 1+ year of training and/or developing teams

Skills and Demands:

• Ability to work various shifts.

• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more.
