Job description

The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  3. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  4. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed promptly, and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  5. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
  6. Process retail customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and friendly manner, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and ensure returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly.
  7. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before the product leaves the store.
  8. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  9. Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule; approve any changes/deviations, and ensure clocking in/out according to company policy.
  10. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
  11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:
  • Ability to obtain RSS Certification
  • Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
