Job summary

The on-site Security Specialist is responsible for the safety and security of staff, patients, and property. This role will review and monitor security cameras and deescalate incidents quickly and professionally.

Essential duties include interacting with staff and patients, verifying IDs, monitoring cash pickups, patrolling the property, and supporting regulatory compliance for cannabis operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous security/protection experience required.
• Nightclub, Bar, Jewelry Store, or Event Management Protection experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging may be required.
• Able to use office equipment and basic software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Regularly interact with employees and patients to maintain a safe environment.
• Check and verify all patient IDs prior to admitting them onto the dispensary floor.
• Monitor cash pick-ups.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all patients and fellow employees.
• Monitor security video cameras and security systems.
• Carry out regular patrols around and inside the property.
• Perform lockup and unlock duties where needed.
• Operate under the regulatory requirements set forth by the State.
• Assist in product delivery as needed.
• Provide operational retail support to leadership including audits and data uploads for location audits.
• Other duties as assigned.
