Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Part-Time Security Specialist for our retail facility to ensure safety for staff and customers and protect property. You will monitor cameras, verify IDs, and support daily operations in a regulated cannabis environment.

The role requires 1–2 years security experience, 21+ years old, and ability to comply with state regulations. Strong customer service and proficiency with Word/Excel are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of security/protection experience.
• Preferred: Nightclub, Bar, Jewelry Store, or Event Management protection experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Background check and appropriate state badging.
• Familiar with cannabis industry safety regulations.
• Proficient with office software (Word/Excel/Email).

The on-site Security Specialist is responsible for the safety and security of staff, patients, and property. This individual will also review and monitor all security cameras and should deescalate any impending or occurring instances in a quick and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Regularly interact with employees and patients to maintain a comfortable and safe environment.
• Check and verify all patient ID’s prior to admitting them onto the dispensary floor.
• Monitor cash pick-ups.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all patients and fellow employees.
• Monitor security video cameras and security systems.
• Carry out regular patrols around and inside the property.
• Perform lockup and unlock duties where needed.
• Operate under the regulatory requirements set forth by the State.
• Assist in product delivery as needed.
• Provide operational retail support to leadership including, but not limited to patient information audits, batch record data uploads, and other items as needed to ensure regular compliance in preparation of location audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of previous security/protection experience required
• High level Nightclub, Bar, Jewelry Store, or Event Management Protection experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances)
• Passionate about security and safety
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
